Story Time with Barb!

Story Time with Barb Treadway begins on Wednesday, November 7 at 11 a.m. This from Barb:

“I am a retired teacher of 34 years, teaching military children in Germany, Japan, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and West Point. I loved my time as a first and third grade teacher, reading specialist and also an instructor of teachers-to-be with the University of Maryland in Japan. I am a brand-new grandmother and am excited about using what I learned throughout my teaching career in reading aloud with my granddaughter. When Ann asked me if I would lead story time, I thought this would be a perfect place to for me practice. So, if you do not mind helping me, please bring your little ones to Story Time. Picture books are like cartoons, there is humor and fun and lessons for those doing the reading as well as those being read to. And, they are a perfect avenue for teaching writing strategies, reading strategies, literary elements and important life lessons all wrapped up in a great story! I hope to see you at Story Time!”
