Abbie Library response to COVID-19
March 13, 2020
Dear Patrons,
As of today, the number of coronavirus/COVID-19 cases reported in New Hampshire is relatively low, and we are planning to keep the library open. However, since proximity to sick individuals seems to be the way this highly contagious disease spreads, ALL PROGRAMMING WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR TWO WEEKS. We will monitor the situation closely with guidance from the Center for Disease Control and the New Hampshire Department of Health. We will post updates about library hours and programming via Facebook and our website.
This is what we are asking of you:
-Make a quick trip in-and-out of the library during our open hours to pick up material.
-Please stay home if you are not feeling well. Use our online catalog to reserve or renew items from home. Or, renew or request items over the phone at (603) 823-8424, or by email: info@abbielibrary.org. In some cases, we may even be able to bring materials to your doorstep!
-And, don’t forget the many online resources you can access from the comfort of your own home. By using Overdrive you can read books and magazines without leaving the house.
-Story Time, Intentional Stitching, Mahjong, Chair Yoga will not meet for the next two weeks. We will provide an update at the end of two weeks on or about March 30.
Health and safety are our utmost priority, and we are hoping that our approach will help contribute to a decrease in the spread of illness.
Here’s looking forward to the warmer weather and to giving everyone great big hugs!
Ann Steuernagel, Director, Abbie Greenleaf Library
